A Quick Note
April 30, 2007Elemental Temple – Returns
April 29, 2007I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Blitz and the Members of ET on the return of their hosting service. I’m glad this matter could be resolved – And if the retraction of my complaint helped in anyway; Then you’re welcome.
I’ve noticed people Petitioning for my return; which was interesting to say the least. For example; I’m surprised more people aren’t holding this against me (openly).
I was asked by members of my Forum to make an effort to resolve matters with Saturous and to get my account restored; I genuinely attempted to write a message to send to him – But it was an impossible task.
I still think he was wrong to Delete my Account, I think I had every right to defend myself and my reputation when he attacked them – And I think if someone is going to disrespect me; They can expect the exact same thing back. Regardless of whatever E-Peen they’re wielding.
Writing this letter would’ve required my Diplomatic Hat and a degree of politeness, neither of which I bother with when talking to people who have grossly disrespected me.
I know the Admins are going to stick together on this; I both despise and respect them for that – After all, it is one of few admirable qualities I’ve seen. To this end, I’m not asking to come back, but if they want me to return then I will under no lesser conditions than this:
- I receive an explicit invite.
- A new account with 800 Posts accredited to it is given to me.
- Saturous has his Admin power revoked (to Moderator would suffice).
I know this will never happen – So don’t fight too hard over me; Its clear that something needs to change, but it won’t.
I’ve just registered over at the BomberGames forum and of course I will be on the WSAG Forums.
You know where to Find me, All the Best,
James.
PS. I killed Mark’s Post … Hopefully it’ll be back up soon.
An Arsehole in Rhyme
April 29, 2007Before I post this, I’d like to point out that I have no problem with Elemental Temple or its members, and get on fine with the majority of the staff. There is just one particular Admin who doesn’t know how to do his job, how to debate with people and persists in using poor insults to try and win arguments. He’s disruptive and then blames others for it; bursting into threads where an argument is already settled, posting a long crap drawn out insult and then locking the thread so that no-one may reply. If you PM a complaint, he apparently decides he doesn’t like you and bans you.
So here is my anger expressed… in rhyme! I even attempted to use a rhyme scheme and everything, so blame that if it doesn’t seem to make sense.
Saturous, An Admin He Should Not Be
Saturous! The emo fascist,
Spends his time fighting free speech,
Losing arguments and playing EVE
By an arsehole bug he has been kissed
And no bullshit insult is beyond his reach
To rebuttals he suggests his opponents leave
Caught by arguments he cannot win
He deletes them to a rubbish bin
Instead of arguing, he mocks instead
And then he locks the topic – Dead.
He keeps a very special list,
Of lifestyle choices he must teach
Your choice of hobbies he will cleave,
Instead you must cut your wrist,
And on other sites you must leech,
And tales of girlfriends you must weave!
The gamer lifestyle is a sin
There’s no talking sense to him
His eyes work like X-Rays through lead,
Only things he can counter will be read.
If only the net could send a fist,
So he would no longer preach,
On how he does not misperceive
Your points and their overall gist
And always he will endlessly screech
On the life choices you did not believe
And to your absolute angry chagrin
To him you must be completely akin
Emo, boring, perhaps inbred
Banning and locking with a swelled head.
Always, constantly, he does insist
He could take you with his reach
And leave you on the floor to grieve
That you surely cannot resist
And to you a lesson he would teach
This he truly does believe
But in truth you’d only scrape the skin,
Off your knuckles killing him
Do not believe what he has said
You’d rip him apart like baked bread.
We live in hope he’ll be dismissed
That his fellow admins will impeach
That they’ll stop being so naïve
And realise we’re all completely pissed
Or maybe he will drink some bleach
His just reward he would receive
We’d all share one great big grin
As he’d finally taken it on the chin
Though we’ll know he never bled
ET would never again fear his tread.
Real Life: The Missing Manual – Introduction
April 25, 2007We here at WSAG have been working hard; Adventuring all around the world and piecing together ancient clues. Last night, at approximately 23:07 – We uncovered an Ancient Tome and now for your benefit we will be transcribing it in sections.
This installment is just the introductory warnings and requirements, but it would be careless of me not to take these precautions.
Real Life: The Missing Manual
Warning

What Happened to ET?
April 24, 2007This is a Question i’m going to be asked repeatedly over the next few days – From a variety of People. I’m also no doubt going to receive a torrent of verbal abuse for what happened.
So I may as well tell you what happened in simple terms:
- I received a large Batch of annonymous Spam Emails.
- I contacted the Hosters whos server sent them about the Spam.
- I recognised the Host as one Blitz recommended and Asked him about it
- He showed me a Page on a Sub-Domain used to send the Emails.
- He Removed it.
Several hours later ET’s Hosting was Revoked.
I’ll be honest – I believed 100% that Saturous was responsible for the Messages I received (I’m assured now that he wasn’t) – But I figured whoever it was would have been more responsible than to use ET to do it.
I was not aware that the Emails had Originated from ET when I reported them.
I never would have reported them after Blitz took the Page down.
And for the Love of God I ask you to consider:
The Person who is really to blame is the FOOL who was stupid enough to use an illegal script.
My condolences to ET, I never wished for this to happen to you; I have even sent another email petitioning to have your Service restored on the grounds that Blitz had already resolved the problem.
If any ET Admins have anything to pass on; feel free to get in touch with me – I’m happy to link your Emails addys or any alternative URLs.
James.

Office Fight
April 22, 2007If I thought Real Work was like this I’d be searching a lot harder for a job.
From Robot Chicken.
Just to let you know, there’ll be no particularly wordy forum posts for videos – just basic ones to let forum-only-goers know they’re up.
Brief Update
April 18, 2007One Quick Update:
The Forums have been moved to http://forums.wesuckatgames.co.uk/
I have decided to leave the Blogger address as http://modern-gamers.blogspot.com
Simply because too many links would break … So live with it.
Update your Forum Bookmarks!
(Although I really wish you’d Come through here >:] )
Anyway, Content coming soon >_> I promise.

"You Caused Me To Do This"
April 18, 2007My thoughts and best wishes go out to the families of those murdered in the Virginia Tech Massacre.
I’ve read a number of things so far; the shooter was thought to have suffered from depression, he was a recluse, the authorities are largely to blame and he did it because (so i’ve read) he had issues with the elitist societies within the University – Being jilted just pushed him over the edge.
Its entirely possible that friends from my Childhood in the US may have been attending; I hope you’re all ok.
Now we just have to wait for the NRA to have a Gun Rally.
James.
Also; Jack Thompson was just unforgivable on the matter.
Wow … Fuck … Thats Bad; ‘Hero Professor was a Holocaust Survivor’ – You’ll find the video on the CNN website.
Recruitment Drive
April 16, 2007The first day of the new invigorated WSAG has come to a close and I must say; I’m pleased with the results.
Thank you to all the people who joined and particularly You. You know who you are.
However; we need to continue to grow – Even though the posters we have atm are indeed active – We need more variance. Also, we need more people who would be on during the off-peak hours to maintain some forum activity.
For instructions on how to apply to the forum read this – You’ll appreciate the precaution once you’re authorised.
Anywho – Enjoy your stay and look out for up and coming content articles.
Regards
James

April 15, 2007We decided something needed to change.
We had registered the Domain Name WeSuckAtGames.co.uk but never got around to it and to this end we have refurbished the Blog.
The Blog will now essentially act as a Front-End for the Forums.
We will post our rants here, for further discussion available to ‘Mature’ Forum Members.
Currently we are using the InvisionFree Service to Pilot the Initiative. I’ve taken the liberty of removing the Adverts though for the sake of Professionalism.
The forum is strictly seperated – There is a Single ‘Spam’ section for members who do not have Access privalleges.
People who we deem mature enough to hold a debate – or we know are trustworthy – Will be granted full access which includes many of the features I have disabled for Non-Mature Members.
Anywho, you can find the Forum Here.
With any luck http://forum.wesuckatgames.co.uk will be pointing there some time soon.
Also; the Blog’s Present true URL is modern-gamers.blogspot.com – I will leave this for a week or so before changing it to reflect the new nature of the site.
Enjoy,
JamesR
